Specification for Industry Grade and Food Grade :
Property: white gravel or powder crystal,relative density is 1.561, less to dissolve in water and its water solution has alkaline reaction; it is hard to dissolve in ethanol. It is used to produce chloroform,solasulfone and Benzaldehyde in medical industry.
SS is used as an antichlor in water treatment and desalination plants; in the reduction of wastewater in chrome-plating industry; as a preservative in the manufacture of trinitrotoluene (TNT); as a bleaching agent and for scrubbing sulphur dioxide gas in pulp mills in power plants and for leather treatment.
It is also used as an oxygen scavenger in low-pressure boilers and in the manufacture of detergent, sodium thiosulphate and photographic chemicals.

(1) Industry Grade : Used in Dyeing and printing Industry ,as dechlorinating agent and bleaching agent, in leather and tanning industry as bleaching agent , developer agent , reductant agent , stabilizer agent , or used in papermaking, electronic and water treatment industry.
(2) Food Grade: In food industry as additive (E223) preservative, antioxidant and antimicrobic for fruits (dried, glazed and candled), vegetables (onions, potatoes, etc.), juices (citrus and grapes) and fish (shrimps and prawns).
